Just 9 km from Saint-Maurice, Mex is a small, picturesque and unusual village at an altitude of 1,118 m, with a dramatic view over the Rhone Valley. Mex is a stopping point on both the Tour des Dents-du-Midi and the Tour des Deux-Rives but also offers a network of quieter walking trails, running through the forests and across the alpine pastures, or tackling the steep slopes at the foot of the Cime de l'Est.
